Active in the financial market since 1993, Otkritie Bank is the largest Russian private bank ranking fourth among all Russian banking groups by assets.
As at 31 December 2015, IFRS-based assets of the bank and its subsidiaries totalled RUB 3.363.6 billion while its equity was reported at RUB 216.0 billion.

Otkritie Bank was formed through the merger of more than ten banks of various size, including such major federal-level ones as NOMOS-BANK, the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk and Petrocommerce Bank.

The Bank’s sound credit standing is recognised by Standard & Poor’s (BB-) and Moody’s (Ba3).
The Bank’s client base comprises more than 29,000 corporations, 163,000 SMEs, and about 3.4 million individual customers (including private banking clients). Its four hundred offices with varying functionality spread across fifty-five Russian regions of economic importance. The Bank’s business is mostly concentrated in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, the Tyumen Region (including the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District where the Bank operates under the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk Bank brand as it has won high recognition in the region over the years), Yekaterinburg, the Novosibirsk Region, the Khabarovsk Region, and the Volgograd Region.
Otkritie Bank’s major shareholder is Otkritie Holding with a 64.7% stake. Otkritie Holding is beneficially owned by Vadim Belyaev, IFD Kapital Group, VTB Bank, IST Holding, Ruben Aganbegyan, and Alexander Mamut. The Bank’s securities are publicly traded at the Moscow Exchange.
Dmitry Romaev chairs the Supervisory Board of Otkritie Bank; and Evgeny Dankevich is the Chairman of the Management Board.
